Happy Thanksgiving, my dear students!
I want to take a moment to say THANK YOU!
Having you in class is a true joy and a gift for me each day that I come into work.
I feel honored to have you all as my students.
Being a teacher is such a gift in itself, as you, my students, truly give me a greater purpose in life. The greatest gift any student could ever give a teacher, is to love to learn and to strive to achieve. This is, after all, my hopes for each and every one of you.
Thank you for making me laugh and sharing my sense of humor. Having fun in class is essential for success.
Thank you for teaching me new things every day because you as kids see things that we can't see as adults.

Thanksgiving
The first Thanksgiving was in 1621 in America. Escaping religious persecution, the pilgrims left England on a small ship called the Mayflower and arrived in America. The first winter was very hard and cold. The Native Americans who had been living on the land for thousands of years showed them how to plant corn and other crops.
With the success of their great harvest in Autumn, the pilgrims in Plymoth Rock and the Wampanoag Indians had a huge feast to celebrate. The feast and fun lasted for 3 days!
In the United States, the holiday is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November with family, football, turkey and giving thanks!

El Guernica de Picasso es una obra que seguro que conoces o de la cual has oído a hablar, pero para que la entiendas y la conozcas profundamente te voy a explicar en qué se basa y cada uno de sus personajes de manera sencilla.

Estilo- Cubismo
Técnica- Óleo sobre lienzo
1) A continuación tienes que ver el siguiente vídeo.
Este vídeo en 3D, sobre el cuadro de "El Guernica", tiene varias preguntas que has de copiar y responder en tu cuaderno o en tus hojas de plan semanal.
¡ATENTO! (puedes ver el vídeo las veces que te haga falta, pararlo, etc)

This week (13/11-17/11) we are filming our movie scene so rehearse rehearse rehearse!
Movie Scene
Movie Scene- Choose a movie genre for your scene (in your notebook).
- Decide what you want the scene to be about and where it takes place.
- Choose your characters.
- Write your dialogue. Each person needs to talk at least twice. Write a total of 10-12 lines.
- You need to write ALL of this in YOUR notebook:
- movie genre
- where your scene takes place (school, haunted house, city, etc.)
- characters
- dialogue

Con nuestro trabajo en el Proyecto Cine hemos ido averiguando curiosidades que teníamos al empezarlo.
Ahora ha llegado el momento de darle respuesta a otras preguntas de nuestro índice de proyecto que, todavía, no sabemos.
Fíjate en nuestro índice de investigación
"¿Qué queremos aprender?"
y elige las preguntas que quieras contestar.
Escribe las respuestas en una presentación de Dirve. Una diapositiva por respuesta.
Haz una buena investigación.
Las pondremos en común en la semana de evaluación.
Recuerda:
- No puedes hacer un "copia/pega" de todo lo que encuentres, debes leer con cuidado, resumir y ser crítico con la información que pongas en las diapositivas
- Si escribes palabras que no entiendes debes hacer un glosario final con su significado.

TIC Tarea 4: Cuestionario y Portada
Vuestra 4ª tarea en la clase TIC-TAC consiste en:
1) Revisar tu corrreo y rellenar el cuestionario que te he enviado, subiéndolo a tu drive y compartiéndolo conmigo.
2) Diseñar la portada de un periódico del Cole a modo plantilla. (¿Qué diseño te gustaría que tuviera? ¿Nombre? , etc.
Secciones:
Esta portada debes hacerla en una diapositiva de presentaciones de tu drive, en VERTICAL, y compartirla conmigo.

your own Oscar Award

the winner is…
Instructions:
1. Take the Oscar silhouette template and
trace the shape over gold paper.
2. Make two silhouettes. Cut them out.
3. Next cut a slit halfway down the center
of one of your silhouettes.
4. Cut halfway up the center of your other
silhouette until reaching the point where you stopped cutting the first
silhouette.
5. Join the two silhouettes at the slits to
make a three-dimensional statue. Use tape to keep the two pieces together.
6. Finally cut a strip of black paper and a
small piece of white paper. Write the name of the award (best actor, best actress..) on the white paper and
paste it on the black paper.
7. Tape the black strip around the Oscar
statue into a ring and your Oscar is
ready!
