ZONES 3: Hands-On 1



HANDS-ON ZONE 1

Make your own Oscar Award

And the winner is…



Instructions: 

1. Take the Oscar silhouette template and trace the shape over gold paper.

2. Make two silhouettes. Cut them out. 





3. Next cut a slit halfway down the center of one of your silhouettes.

4. Cut halfway up the center of your other silhouette until reaching the point where you stopped cutting the first silhouette.

5. Join the two silhouettes at the slits to make a three-dimensional statue. Use tape to keep the two pieces together.

6. Finally cut a strip of black paper and a small piece of white paper. Write the name of the award (best actor, best actress..) on the white paper and paste it on the black paper.

7. Tape the black strip around the Oscar statue into a ring and your Oscar is ready!

ICT Zone – My Favorite Movie Presentation


Instructions:

-        Research on the Internet and answer the questions below about you and the movie you like the most
-        Include the answers in a Google Drive presentation
-        AFTER you are finished, you can add pictures, color, a title…
-        Please only use 6 slides for the presentation. (4 for the answers, 1 for the title slide, and 1 more to be creative!)
-        Then, when you have the FINAL presentation, please share it with me in Google Drive😊



Please answer these questions (approx. 4-6 sentences each):

  1. What is your favorite movie? When was it made? What genre is it? (action, romantic, comedy, thriller…) What is it about?

  1. Who are the main characters in the movie? Please describe the protagonist. Did any of the actors win an Oscar for their role in the movie?

  1. Was your movie shot with a digital or film camera? Is it an animated movie? Did they use a Chroma Key or any other special effects to make the movie?


  1. Why do you like the movie so much? What is the movie’s important message? Use one adjective to describe the movie. (suspenseful, scary, thrilling, funny…) You can look at a dictionary if you would like.

Here you have the instructions to do your ICT Zone: 

1. Go to the "Libro de lo importante" in your blog and open the English folder. 

2. In the English folder you will find another folder named Last Year Review. 

3. Do all the worksheets you have there on the smartboard

Remember that you can use your notes to do the activities. 

Put them in your red Libro de lo importante when you finish.
